I lay awake at night to think about the dawn, about the love you bring, about the hope I want, about the fear of anew, about the dawn that brings you. The one who loves, the one I fear, the one I long to be near, to touch to hold, I long to be near and dear to you. I lay now in the darkness waiting for your call. Nothing is near nothing is dear only darkness is here. But you, you who have called me first when I lay at night and waited for the dawn, you have found me and loved me like you promised you would. Oh how I have waited for this moment, when you would come and rescue me. Oh how can I repay you for your love? for surly as i live i cannot, but I can say that I am yours always. Forever more may I stand beside you, for without you I am nothing, but in you arms I am loved.
I think its interesting that you had these thoughts at night.
ReplyDeleteI love the line "the one who loves the one I fear the one I long to be near"
I think in that line you sum up the whole poem, you sum up life in a sense. The continuous renewal of our souls in Him, the constant longing for everything that is right, for everything that is God.
it gives me a sense of the beginning, which is mysterious which is deffinatly God haha
I suck at poetry this is a better poem I could ever write lol
